Tonight at church our women’s group took turns each sharing our favorite Bible verse. I have a lot of special verses that mean a lot to me but I chose to share Psalm 139:14: “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” This particular verse is sort of like my life verse as it showed me that God made me the way I am for a reason.
For years I struggled with low self-esteem in one area of my life or another. God would always lead me back to this verse and show me that He made me the way I am for a reason. He gave me the physical make up, talents and desires He knew would work best for me to fulfill His mission for me on this Earth. He has done the same for us all.
Sometimes the things we dislike the most about ourselves will be what God uses the most. If you are ever in doubt of God’s purpose for your life, just realize that He has made you for a certain purpose. He made each of us to live in the certain time and place we do and equipped us with the talents and circumstances needed to fulfill His call for our lives. You may not know the whole story or plan as of yet, but keep reading the Book and following the path. It will all make sense in the end.
